[The way he steps closer to TK under everyone's gazes is a fully unconscious movement, seeking out the one familiar thing in the room and barely quelling the urge to hide behind him. People are not exactly Dave's strong suit. At least he brought treats. It's the best way he knows to break the ice.]
We close around five, so by six, I'm... pretty much wide open, most days. [Translation: he has basically no life outside his shop. He offers a little grin, hopeful.] The next week's pretty clear? I don't know what your schedule looks like.

[Judah notices Dave’s fidgeting but doesn’t mention it. Goodness knows that Judah does enough of his own fidgeting. The curious thing is that it’s the second time he’s seen Dave seemingly bother his hands tonight, he does want to ask about that, but thinks better of it. If it was something serious, he’s sure his friend would mention it. Well, mostly sure.
It’s harder to ignore Dave’s singing. Something all together pleasant and somewhat familiar, even though he’s never heard the other man sing before. It reminds him all at once of his mom and the way she used to fill a space, with her presence and her voice. It’s a sentimental kind of affection he feels, he leans against Dave more solidly, smiling at both the movie and the singing.
It’s a bit longer before he makes any sound, enraptured by the film. ] I wouldn’t mind if every movie just had muppets as the actors.

[It's a little easier to just sink into the contact when there's something else to focus on, a reason he doesn't have to keep thinking about it. He slumps into Judah more and more by degrees, warm and relaxed, arm coming to rest absently halfway against his friend's leg.]

[It’s odd, just moments earlier Judah had no issues grabbing his friend’s hand and holding it, but this time he’s feeling self conscious about it, instead moving his arm to rest against Dave’s, the back of his hand barely grazing Dave’s own.]

He’s familiar with A Christmas Carol of course, though probably not as intimately as others. It adds another layer of excitement that it isn’t a story he has memorized. He covers Judah's hand with his just briefly, fingers a little bit cold despite the comfortable temperature in the room, before Dave tears his attention back towards the TV, shifting a little more into him.]

[The temperature of Dave’s hand gets a small noise out of him and he moves to cover it with both of his own.] Dude, your hand is freezing. Are you still cold? [He’s not trying to pull attention away from the movie, but he also doesn’t want to ignore Dave if he’s sitting here just silently freezing.]

[He's not actually expecting that to get a reaction, glancing down at his own hands like that information should be written there or something.] Um. Just my hands? [The other flexes absently as he adds as explanation, a little sheepish:] It's a circulation thing, don't worry about it.

[Now that he knows about it, he is a little worried about it, in the way that he absently worries about a lot of Dave's health. He rubs Dave's hand between his own, moving his hand over his knuckles the way he watched Dave do to himself just a little bit ago.] This relates to the knitting. [Just randomly bringing up facts he remembers from a conversation they had weeks ago, like pieces falling into place in his mind.]

[He ducks his head a little, caught between being a little embarrassed by Judah's attempts to help and being grateful for it. It feels nice, though. And it's warmer. It's not that much weirder than just holding a friend's hand, right?]

That's probably why your fingers are so cold. [He says, matter-of-factly as if he knows anything about what he's talking about. It's actually not horrible to keep up the motions on Dave's hands, it keeps his hands busy, and also helps his friend out. Win-win.]
